About the session:
Join Vancouver Community College’s CareerLAB in this online workshop to learn more about using employability skills/career readiness competency frameworks and corresponding assessment tools to support the career development of learners and clients. During this interactive session, participants will have opportunity to learn from each other and explore several tools and practices that can support student and client self-development. Hear how VCC has been integrating various frameworks and tools into their own applied skills training programs and career workshops. Professionals from diverse contexts are encouraged to join the conversation and share learning from across both the post-secondary and community-based employment services sectors.

Rachel Warick, MA, Vancouver Community College Partnership Development Office
As VCC’s CareerLAB lead, Rachel leverages her expertise in post-secondary interdepartmental collaboration to encourage Faculty and Staff to embed contemporary career and WIL theory and practice into the career guidance provided to students.
Cindy Chan, Program Coordinator, Vancouver Community College Partnership Development Office
Cindy serves as the lead facilitator in the Employability Skills Assessment Tool (ESAT) research project conducted by the Future Skills Centre (FSC). ESAT is used to help assess and develop and individual’s employability skills.
