MERGER UPDATE - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the purpose of the merger:
- Create a stronger community, sector and voice
- Reduce duplication of services
- Streamline administrative costs
What will the membership fees be for the new association?
- The joined board of directors have decided to use the current ENET membership cost structure for one year from the date of the merger
- The new costs will be:
- Student: $50 per year
- Individual: $100 per year
- Agency: $375 per year (for up to 4 persons)
What is the actual merger date?
- Our goal is to legally merge by September 30, 2009
- We have already merged our boards, administrative and financial processes
- All existing active memberships in either organization will be honoured through to their end date
What are the member benefits?
- Benefits will remain the same and we plan to add many more
- ENET members will gain CMA member benefits
- CMA members will gain ENET member benefits
Who will be managing the association?
- CMA's Executive Coordinator has taken over the coordinator role for both organizations
- The board of directors from CMA and ENET are already working together and a new board will be formed from directors of both groups
